Sitting luxuriously overlooking over Brisbane’s prominent river is the Hawthorne Residence. Engaged by the client, Residence Studio provided the client a high-end Main Bedroom that felt like a luxurious parent’s retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Our approach was to elongate proportions and utilise the large room and ceiling space by creating a custom 2 metre high bedhead, establishing the focal point to the centre of the bedhead wall. Adorned on the sides of the bedhead are custom Zuster Halo bedside tables in a dark Mink Timber stain adorned with Palomino Marble handles with a feminine undertone through the artwork above. Custom scatter cushions in opulent brassy velvets contrast the Kelly Wrestler graffito fabric on the feature custom bolster cushions.
On the perimeter of the bedroom, positioned to have the potentially best views is an organic curved boucle sofa with contrasting Nero Marquina nesting coffee tables and chocolate velvet swivel occasional chairs that encourage conversation, either daily with children or on a Friday evening with a wine in hand. The Sarah Ellison console elevates the palette with a rattan inlay and brass detail with the circular brass mirror above reflecting the Brisbane city sky-line.
